Experiential Events

 

In 2016, in collaboration with NoMAA, GoUptown.NYC will execute a series of arts initiatives:

 

·         6 Networking and PopUp Arts Bazaars where local artists can exhibit and sell their work at an art space, gallery, artist studio or business.

 

·         1 Showcase of Local Performance Artists: A marquee event where local artists will showcase their talents. Artists include singers, dancers and musicians and many more. This free event will be open to all community residents.

 

GoUptown.NYC will conduct 2 Outdoor Food Bazaars –

1 in Washington Heights and 1 in Inwood, closing a local street and inviting local restaurants to provide free food. We will have DJs, kid’s activities, and much more.

 

In collaboration with the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Heights and Inwood Chamber of Commerce, GoUptown.NYC will conduct

 

1 Beauty Expo/Health Fair where local merchants in beauty and medical industry will have the opportunity to market their services. Members of the community will be pampered with beauty experiences (massage, mani-pedi, skin evaluations, hair, make-up) and will be evaluated by medical professionals (chiropracters, dentists, etc).

 

GoUptown.NYC will leverage traditional (print, PR, collateral, and promotional materials - tote bags / pins) and digital (website, social media, email, blogs) vehicles. GoUptown.NYC will place light pole banners in Northern Manhattan, from 155th to 220th street. NoMAA will coordinating an artist competition for the banner art.
