Morris-Jumel Mansion

¡Built in 1765, remodeled in 1810, this Federal-style wood house (temporary Washington Headquarters) contains Georgian, Federal & French Empire furniture decorations; colonial-style gardens.

 

Hispanic Society of America

¡A museum and reference library for the study of the arts and cultures of Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. Founded in 1904, the institution is free and open to the public and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012.

 

National Track & Field Hall of Fame at the Armory

¡The museum opened its doors in January 2004 and is dedicated to the sport of track and field.

 

The Cloisters - The Metropolitan Museum of Art

¡Medieval collection, including the Unicorn Tapestries, housed in Romanesque & Gothic structures from European monasteries; lovely gardens.

 

Dyckman Farmhouse

¡The only 18th century farmhouse left in Manhattan. Restored with Dutch & English furnishings, local archaeological artifacts, an herb garden, a reconstructed smokehouse & military hut.

 

The Little Red Lighthouse

¡Located almost directly below the George Washington Bridge, the forty-foot cast-iron conical lighthouse, with a flashing red light and fog signal, was in operation from 1921 to 1947.
